About

Little Anh House

Little Anh House is a small, 3-star property set in a peaceful alley in Hanoi's Hoan Kiem district. It's about a 25-minute walk from the Opera House and 400 metres from the Museum of History, putting most of the Old Quarter's sights within easy reach. The guesthouse offers free Wi-Fi in rooms, air conditioning, and a range of self-catering touches like an electric kettle, dining table, and cookware in some units.

The property is run by a family known for warm hospitality. Guests can book tours and airport shuttles directly, and the front desk staff are frequently praised for their help with last-minute requests. With just a handful of rooms, the atmosphere is more guesthouse than hotel, which suits travellers looking for a local, home-like base.

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Perfect balance of central and quiet — Guests consistently mention the location – tucked away from the tourist bustle yet within walking distance of the Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake, and the train station.
  • Attentive, family-run service — The hosts (Anh and his father) are frequently described as warm, helpful, and quick to arrange tours, airport shuttles, laundry, and last-minute transport.
  • Well-equipped, tastefully decorated rooms — Rooms come with air conditioning, mini-bars, kettles, and some have kitchenettes and balconies. Reviewers often note the cleanliness and comfort of the beds.
  • Great value for the price — With a price from £186 per night and a Value rating of 8.5, guests feel they get a lot for what they pay, especially given the central location.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • No pets allowed — The hotel does not accept pets, so travellers with animals will need to look elsewhere.
  • Check-in window may be tight — Check-in is only from 14:00 to 23:59, so late-night arrivals after midnight aren't accommodated.
  • Limited on-site facilities — There's no restaurant or breakfast service listed, and no dedicated parking, so you'll need to plan for meals and transport independently.
  • Quiet alley location has trade-offs — While the peace is a plus, some travellers might prefer to be right in the Old Quarter's lively centre; the walk to the Opera House takes about 25 minutes.
